Building A Practical Flood Risk Plan for Film Production
Floodwater can change a filming location from workable to dangerous within minutes. A creek that looks shallow during a scout may rise after rain upstream, while a sealed road, basement, beach access track or suburban underpass can become isolated before the crew receives a clear warning. Production schedules add pressure because cast, equipment, vehicles and permits are often committed well in advance.
A useful risk assessment plan turns those uncertainties into decisions. It identifies likely flood sources, sets measurable stop-work triggers, assigns responsibility and provides alternatives for every critical scene.
